Virtual Read-A-Loud
Type of Event: Virtual Day of Event Contact: Dr. Shaeeda Mensah - [email protected] Dr. Shaeeda Mensah invites you to participate in a READ-A-LOUD for the Freedom to Learn National Day of Action. Read-A-Thon My plan is to hold a virtual Read-A-Thon, where people would read out loud, pages from a banned book. As of now, my goal will be to get volunteers to record themselves reading pages from the following books: The Stars and the Darkness Between Them by Junauda Petrus & Sister Outsider by Audre Lorde. By signing up you are agreeing to record yourself reading 10-15 pages of a book, and sending it to me by Tuesday May 2nd at 5pm. The recording will be posted to social media. Please share this information with any and everyone that you think would be interested in participating. I can and will add additional books if we have more volunteers than pages to read.
