Social Justice CALL, hosting an initial meeting on May 3, to launch a series of teach-ins during summer 2023. Aim is to widely promote the Freedom to Learn, by building coalitions of readers to study truthful accounts of racism in U.S. history, in defiance of the many book bans and various laws designed to eliminate this historical knowledge from being taught to students in U.S. schools and being disseminated in public libraries. Aim is also to build coalitions among activists, both individual and civic groups. (Planning reading at historic Black Women’s Club from 1900, Ida B.
