Type of Event: In-Person
The Freedom to Learn Network and the African American Policy Forum will host an “Artivism” reception including a banned book installation, performing arts (poetry, song, and dance), and speeches delivered by special guests. Performances and speeches will lift up the voices and stories of educators, authors, and scholars whose worked has been expunged from the AP African American Studies curriculum or banned from classrooms and libraries across the country.
Food and drinks will be served.
