“We the People” Freedom to Learn – Unbanned Book Pushback!

Event Type: Virtual Location: New Haven, CT Event Contact: Lisa Monroe and Susan Monroe - [email protected] Social Justice CALL, hosting an initial meeting on May 3, to launch a series of teach-ins during summer 2023. Aim is to widely promote the Freedom to Learn, by building coalitions of readers to study truthful accounts of racism in U.S. history, in defiance of the many book bans and various laws designed to eliminate this historical knowledge from being taught to students in U.S. schools and being disseminated in public libraries.
