In connection with the Freedom to Learn National Day of Action, our seminar invites you to an evening of poetry, music, art and conversation about the history of abolitionist thought and action in the US and powerful role that literature has had and continues to have in the struggle for racial justice. Our teach-in, organized entirely by NYU MA and PhD students, will feature performances, an archive exhibit, workshops, and a conversation with special guest Jose Saldana (from The Sentencing Project).
